Yang, Hsinjin Edwin; Schall, Frederick P. published an article in 2016, the title of the article was Micro-scale study on the flammability of polymers.Application of 3319-31-1 And the article contains the following content:
The flammability of polymers is mainly evaluated through ignitability, flame spread and heat release. Numerous tests have been developed and performed either in laboratory scale, with certain dimension of samples, or during industrial manufacturing on final products. Several of the most widely used tests are UL 94, Oxygen Index (OI), Oxygen Bomb Calorimeter and the Cone Calorimeter. A relatively new test method using a Micro-scale Combustion Calorimeter (MCC) instrument developed by Dr. Richard Lyon of the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and standardized in ASTM International as ASTM D7309 is now com. available. The MCC test has the potential to quant. study materials flammability characteristics at the micro-scale level. With test specimens of 2 ~10 mg in mass, information, such as, ignition temperature, combustion temperature, heat release rate (HRR), heat release capacity (ηc), and total heat of combustion (HOC) is obtained. The experimental process involved the reaction of Tris(2-ethylhexyl) benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylate(cas: 3319-31-1).Application of 3319-31-1
