Journal of Organic Chemistry published new progress about Herbicides. 112-63-0 belongs to class esters-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C19H34O2, Quality Control of 112-63-0.

Hayakawa, Yoshio; Kimoto, Hiroshi; Cohen, Louis A.; Kirk, Kenneth L. published the artcile< Syntheses of (trifluoromethyl)imidazoles with additional electronegative substituents. An approach to receptor-activated affinity labels>, Quality Control of 112-63-0, the main research area is imidazole trifluoromethyl preparation herbicide insecticide; affinity label preparation trifluoromethylimidazole.

Electrophilic substitution in 2- and 4-(trifluoromethyl)imidazoles provides derivatives containing one or two nitro, chloro, bromo, or iodo groups. Fluoro and chloro derivatives were also prepared by photochem. trifluoromethylation of the resp. haloimidazole. The results demonstrate that (trifluoromethyl)imidazoles behave fairly typically under the conditions of electrophilic nitration and halogenation. Of the alternative routes to the desired bifunctional and trifunctional imidazoles, electrophilic substitution on the preformed (trifluoromethyl)imidazole appears to be the method of choice in most cases. A large number of the products show herbicidal or insecticidal activity.

HNF-1ä¼? Saussurea lappa; Sirtuin-1; hepatoprotective; miRNA; phenolics.

Saussurea costus is a plant traditionally used for the treatment of several ailments. Our study accomplished the UPLC/T-TOF-MS/MS anal. of a methanol extract of Saussurea costus roots (MESC), in addition to lipoidal matter determination and assessment of its in vivo hepatoprotective activity. In this study, we were able to identify the major metabolites in MESC rather than the previously known isolated compounds, improving our knowledge of its chem. constituents. The flavones apigenin, acacetin, baicalein, luteolin, and diosmetin, and the flavonol aglycons quercetin, kaempferol, isorhamnetin, gossypetin, and myricetin and/or their glycosides and glucuronic derivatives were the major identified compounds The hepatoprotective activity of MESC was evaluated by measuring catalase activity using UV spectrophotometry, inflammatory cytokines and apoptotic markers using ELISA techniques, and genetic markers using PCR. Paracetamol toxicity caused a significant increase in plasma caspase 2, cytokeratin 18 (CK18), liver tumor necrosis factor-ä¼?(TNF-ä¼?, interleukin 6 (IL-6), miRNA-34a, and miRNA-223, as well as a significant decrease in liver catalase (CAT) activity and in the levels of liver nuclear factor 1ä¼?(HNF-1ä¼?, sirtuin-1, and C/ebpä¼? Oral pretreatment with MESC (200 mg/kg) showed a significant decrease in caspase 2, CK18, TNF-ä¼? IL-6 and a significant increase in liver CAT activity. MESC decreased the levels of liver miRNA-34a and miRNA-223 and induced HNF-1ä¼? sirtuin-1, and C/ebpä¼?gene expression. The histol. examination showed a significant normalization in rats pretreated with MESC. Our findings showed that Saussurea costus may exert a potent hepatoprotective activity through the modulation of the expression of cellular cytokines, miRNA-34a, and miRNA-223.

Gliomas are the most frequent primary brain tumour. The proximity of organs at risk, the infiltrating nature, and the radioresistance of gliomas have to be taken into account in the choice of prescribed dose and technique of radiotherapy. The management of glioma patients is based on clinical factors (age, KPS) and tumour characteristics (histology, molecular biology, tumour location), and strongly depends on available and associated treatments, such as surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. The knowledge of molecular biomarkers is currently essential, they are increasingly evolving as additional factors that facilitate diagnostics and therapeutic decision-making. We present the update of the recommendations of the French society for radiation oncology on the indications and the technical procedures for performing radiation therapy in patients with gliomas.

Scientific Reports published new progress about Biomarkers. 112-63-0 belongs to class esters-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C19H34O2, Electric Literature of 112-63-0.

Do, Duyen Thi; Yang, Ming-Ren; Lam, Luu Ho Thanh; Le, Nguyen Quoc Khanh; Wu, Yu-Wei published the artcile< Improving MGMT methylation status prediction of glioblastoma through optimizing radiomics features using genetic algorithm-based machine learning approach>, Electric Literature of 112-63-0, the main research area is methylation status prediction glioblastoma optimizing radiomics feature genetic algorithm.

O6-Methylguanine-DNA-methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter methylation was shown in many studies to be an important predictive biomarker for temozolomide (TMZ) resistance and poor progression-free survival in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) patients. However, identifying the MGMT methylation status using mol. techniques remains challenging due to tech. limitations, such as the inability to obtain tumor specimens, high prices for detection, and the high complexity of intralesional heterogeneity. To overcome these difficulties, we aimed to test the feasibility of using a novel radiomics-based machine learning (ML) model to preoperatively and noninvasively predict the MGMT methylation status. In this study, radiomics features extracted from multimodal images of GBM patients with annotated MGMT methylation status were downloaded from The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA) public database for retrospective anal. The radiomics features extracted from multimodal images from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) had undergone a two-stage feature selection method, including an eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) feature selection model followed by a genetic algorithm (GA)-based wrapper model for extracting the most meaningful radiomics features for predictive purposes. The cross-validation results suggested that the GA-based wrapper model achieved the high performance with a sensitivity of 0.894, specificity of 0.966, and accuracy of 0.925 for predicting the MGMT methylation status in GBM. Application of the extracted GBM radiomics features on a low-grade glioma (LGG) dataset also achieved a sensitivity 0.780, specificity 0.620, and accuracy 0.750, indicating the potential of the selected radiomics features to be applied more widely on both low- and high-grade gliomas. The performance indicated that our model may potentially confer significant improvements in prognosis and treatment responses in GBM patients.

Dow, William H’s team published research in Medical care in 2002 | 112-63-0

Medical care published new progress about 112-63-0. 112-63-0 belongs to class esters-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C19H34O2, Computed Properties of 112-63-0.

Dow, William H; Harris, Dean M published the artcile< Exclusion of international medical graduates from federal health-care programs.>, Computed Properties of 112-63-0, the main research area is .

BACKGROUND: The professional standards of international medical graduates have been the subject of controversy, but empirical research on this topic has been limited. OBJECTIVES: This report considers whether international medical graduates are at greater risk than US medical graduates for exclusion by the federal government from federally funded programs, such as Medicare and Medicaid. RESEARCH DESIGN: The list of excluded physicians was merged with data regarding 87,729 family and general practice physicians from the American Medical Association Physician Masterfile, 555 of whom were currently excluded. Logistic regression was used to estimate the effect of international medical graduate status on the probability of exclusion, controlling for board-certification status and other physician characteristics. International medical graduates from high-income Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries are distinguished from other international medical graduates. RESULTS: The adjusted exclusion rates of international medical graduates from OECD countries were similar to that of US medical graduates. Among board-certified physicians, the relative risk of exclusion of non-OECD international medical graduates was 2.19 (P <0.001) compared with US medical graduates. Board certification had an even stronger association: US medical graduates who had never been board certified had a relative risk of 4.12 (P <0.001) compared with board-certified US medical graduates. The never board-certified relative risk was 1.72 (P <0.001) among non-OECD international medical graduates compared with board-certified graduates. Among physicians who had never been board certified, rates of US and international medical graduates did not differ substantially. CONCLUSIONS: Further investigation is needed regarding the causal determinants of exclusion disparities. It is unclear to what extent these disparities may reflect differences in ethical conduct, quality of care, or prejudicial enforcement practices, and the extent to which board certification can causally reduce actions leading to exclusion. Intracranial dissemination is rare among patients with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Very few GBM patients develop symptoms from intracranial dissemination, as most do not surviving long enough for intracranial dissemination to become clinically evident. Herein, we report a case of GBM in a 39-year-old woman who underwent surgical resection, concomitant chemoradiotherapy, and seven courses of adjuvant chemotherapy with temozolomide. The patient then complained of an instable gait and hearing loss. Imaging studies demonstrated that although the primary intracranial tumors were well-controlled by treatment, contralateral cerebellopontine angle seeding dissemination was present. The patient died 3 months after the diagnosis of seeding dissemination. In light of a previous report and our current case, heightened awareness could promote surgical strategies that minimize the possibility of dissemination, including avoiding ventricular entry or a no-touch strategy.
