On September 30, 2022, Chang, Haoya; Li, Jian; Zhang, Chunhui; Qian, Weiping published an article.Recommanded Product: 6197-30-4 The title of the article was Octocrylene exposure impairs mouse oocyte quality by inducing spindle defects and mitochondria dysfunction. And the article contained the following:

One of organic UV filters, Octocrylene (OCL), is mainly used in various cosmetic products, which is being frequently detected in soil, sediment, aquatic systems and food chain. There is evidence confirmed the reproductive toxicity of OCL in Japanese medaka. However, less was known about the effects of OCL exposure on oocyte quality. Here, we investigated the impacts of OCL on mouse oocyte maturation and quality by exposing oocytes to OCL in vitro at concentrations of 8, 22, 30, 40 and 50 nM. The results showed that OCL markedly reduced mouse oocyte germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD) at 50 nM and polar body extrusion (PBE) rates at 40 and 50 nM. OCL exposure further disrupted spindle assembly and chromosome alignment, finally inducing aneuploid. Mitochondrial function was also damaged by OCL exposure, leading to ROS overproduction and apoptosis in oocytes. Moreover, OCL treatment impaired the distribution of cortical granules and sperm binding ability of oocytes. In summary, these data demonstrated that OCL could disturb the oocyte meiotic maturation and reduce oocyte quality. The experimental process involved the reaction of 2-Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate(cas: 6197-30-4).Recommanded Product: 6197-30-4

And the article contained the following:

The growing use of octocrylene in sunscreens has posed a great threat to aquatic organisms. In the present study, to assess its reproductive toxicity and mechanism, paired Japanese medaka (Oryzias latipes) (F0) were exposed to OC at nominal concentrations of 5, 50, and 500μg/L for 28 d. Significant increases were observed in the gonadosomatic index and hepatosomatic index of F0 medaka at 500μg/L OC (p < 0.05) without significant differences in fecundity. Significant increases in the percent of mature oocytes were observed at 5 and 500μg/L OC, in which contrary to the percent of spermatozoa (p < 0.05). The plasma sex hormones and vitellogenin levels significantly increased in males at all treatments and in females at 50 and 500μg/L OC (p < 0.05). In addition, the levels of fshβ and lhβ in the brains and the levels of fshr, lhr and cyp17α in the gonads were significantly upregulated in males at all treatments (p < 0.05), in line with those of ar, erα, erβ and cyp19β in the brains of male and female. The upregulation of vtg in male and female livers was observed only at 500μg/L OC and upregulation of star and hsd3β was observed in testis at all treatments (p < 0.05). Continued exposure to OC significantly induced increases in the time to hatching, morphol. abnormality rates, and cumulative death rates of F1 embryos, inconsistent with body length of F1 larvae (p < 0.05). And the article contained the following:

Organisms are exposed to various stressors including parasites and micropollutants. Their combined effects are hard to predict. This study assessed the trophic relationship, micropollutants bioaccumulation and infection degree in a host-parasite couple. Carbon and nitrogen isotopic ratios were determined in hake Merluccius merluccius muscle and in its parasite Anisakis sp.. Concentrations of both priority (mercury species and polychlorinated biphenyls congeners) and emerging (musks and sunscreens) micropollutants were also measured for the parasite and its host, to detect potential transfer of contaminants between the two species. The results showed partial trophic interaction between the parasite and its host, in accordance with the Anisakis sp. life encysted in hake viscera cavity. PCB transfer between the two species may result from some lipids uptake by the parasite, while no relation occurred for the two other contaminants. Finally, a pos. correlation was found between the number of Anisakis sp. larvae and the methylmercury contamination for hake, emphasizing the assumption that the contamination level in methylmercury can weaken immune system of the host enough to affect parasite infection degree. The experimental process involved the reaction of 2-Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate(cas: 6197-30-4).Application In Synthesis of 2-Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate

And the article contained the following:

Organic UV absorbents (UVAs) are increasingly reported in environmental matrixes and organisms. However, available information on the bioaccumulation of UVAs in freshwater species is insufficient and their trophodynamics in lake food webs remain unknown. We measured the concentrations of twelve UVAs in the wild species from Lake Chaohu. Except for UV-320 not detected, the other UVAs were prevalent in the study species and their total concentrations were in the range of 5.44-131 ng/g dry weight, which were comparable to the concentrations reported in other waters. Compound and species-specific accumulations of UVAs in the organisms were observed In the lake, the log-transformed concentrations of 4-Me benzylidene camphor, octyl p-dimethylaminobenzoate, UV-326, and UV-327 related significantly to the trophic levels of species sep. The calculated trophic magnification factors (TMFs) of the four UVAs were 3.79, implying trophic magnification, and 0.18, 0.40 and 0.58, suggesting trophic dilution, resp. These suggested that the magnification potential and the associated risks of individual UVAs in freshwater lake differed. To our knowledge, this is the first report of these TMFs in lake food webs. However, more investigation is needed to characterize their trophodynamic behaviors in lakes because food web characteristics likely affect trophic transfer of these chems. On January 1, 2020, Rodriguez-Escales, P.; Sanchez-Vila, X. published an article.COA of Formula: C24H27NO2 The title of the article was Modeling the fate of UV filters in subsurface: Co-metabolic degradation and the role of biomass in sorption processes. And the article contained the following:

UV filters (UVFs) are emerging organic compounds found in most water systems. They are constituents of personal care products, as well as industrial ones. The concentration of UVFs in the water bodies in space and time is mostly determined by degradation and sorption, both processes being determinant of their bioavailability and toxicity to ecosystems and humans. UVFs are a wide group of compounds, with different sorption behavior expected depending on the individual chem. properties (pKa,Koc,Kow). The goal of this work is framed in the context of improving our understanding of the sorption processes of UVFs occurring in the aquifer; i.e., to evaluate the role of biomass growth, solid organic matter (SOM) and redox conditions in the characterization of sorption of a set of UVFs. We constructed a conceptual and a numerical model to evaluate the fate of selected UV filters, focused on both sorption and degradation The models were validated with published data by Liu et al. (2013), consisting in a suite of batch experiments evaluating the fate of a cocktail of UVs under different redox conditions. The compounds evaluated included ionic UV filters (Benzophenone-3; 2-(3-t-butyl-2-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)5-chloro-benzotriazole; 2-(2′-hydroxy-5′-octylphenyl)-benzotriazole) and neutral ones (octyl 4-methoxycinnamatte; and octocrylene). On June 5, 2020, Yang, Haohan; Lu, Guanghua; Yan, Zhenhua; Liu, Jianchao; Dong, Huike; Bao, Xuhui; Zhang, Xiadong; Sun, Yu published an article.Reference of 2-Ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate The title of the article was Residues, bioaccumulation, and trophic transfer of pharmaceuticals and personal care products in highly urbanized rivers affected by water diversion. And the article contained the following:

Little information is available on the bioaccumulation and trophic transfer of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) in urban rivers system, particularly for those affected by water transfer. Herein, a comprehensive study was conducted to investigate the biol. residues, bioaccumulation and trophic transfer of 45 PPCPs in the Nanjing Qinhuai River system under the background of water diversion projects. A total of 30 compounds were detected with a descending order of overall concentration as plankton > benthic mollusc > fish (except grass carp). Higher biol. residues were observed in the downstream than those in the upstream, with the largest increase for fish (136.4%) and the lowest increase for phytoplankton (5.4%). However, the bioaccumulation classifications of most PPCPs were unchanged among the three different water-diversion regions. Trophic magnification factors (TMFs) of organic UV filters (homosalate, oxybenzone, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate and octocrylene) ranged from 1.23 to 2.04, suggesting trophic magnification potential, while trophic dilution for pharmaceuticals (sertraline, citalopram, caffeine and roxithromycin) with TMFs of 0.42 to 0.50 were observed A notable pos. correlation was observed between the pH-dependent distribution coefficient (logDow) and the TMFs of the PPCPs (P < 0.05). Although the human health hazard assessment indicated no immediate health risk via the consumption of freshwater food, attention should be paid to the joint effects of PPCPs. And the article contained the following:

Organic UV absorbents (OUVAs) in the environment have been of increasing concern because of their potential hazards. However, the OUVAs in waters is far from being well studied and little is known about their occurrence in small urban rivers. This study investigated the concentrations and distribution of eleven OUVAs in the sediments from five small urban rivers of Tianjin, China, and found total concentrations in the range of 11.6-189 ng/g dry weight Relative to other rivers and lakes, no high concentrations of sediment OUVAs were observed in the small rivers. Benzophenone, homosalate and octocrylene were the dominant OUVAs, representing medians of 13.3%, 12.4% and 12.3% of the total concentrations, resp. Our observed composition profiles of these chems. were different from those found in most of other waters. The sediment OUVAs may originate more from industrial activities than the use of cosmetics and personal care products in this area. The risk to aquatic organisms from exposure to the sediment OUVAs in these small urban rivers was considered low, except for benzophenone. However, more researches are needed to investigate the pollution and associated risks of these chems. in urban rivers due to the complexity of their toxicity to aquatic organisms. And the article contained the following:

Emerging contaminants such as synthetic musks and UV-filters as ingredients personal care products were widely used in human daily life in Thailand. The occurrence and fate of four synthetic musks and nine UV-filters were investigated in eight full-scale sewage treatment plants (STPs) and their receiving aquatic environments in Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand. All target compounds were detected in every single sample from STPs and surface water with magnitude from ng/L to μg/L. HHCB-lactone and HMS were found as the predominant musk and UV filter in influent and effluent of STPs, resp. HHCB-lactone was also found with the highest concentration up to 79501 ng/g (dw) in the sludge. Low removal efficiency range from -37% (HHCB-lactone) to 58% (AHTN) were found for four musks in the STPs. The total emission of Σ4musks and Σ9UV-filters were estimated to be up to 16.7 mg/person/day and 0.28 mg/person/day by the STPs. Three synthetic musks and seven UV-filters were detected in fish from the receiving river. Concentration and emission of musks and UV filters found in this study from Thailand were much higher than those reported in many other countries worldwide. The preliminary ecol. risk assessment showed that Musk xylene, 4-MBC and OC may pose high risk to aquatic organisms in the riverine and estuarine environment in Thailand. And the article contained the following:

Microplastics (MPs) in oceans adsorb different types of pollutants, which can neg. impact the food chain. The extensive use of personal care products (PCPs) has led to their ubiquitous environmental presence, and their partition between plastic matrixes and surroundings is determined by their physico-chem. characteristics and environmental conditions. This work develops and applies a methodol. to determine 12 UV filters (UVFs) and UV stabilizers (UVSs) in MPs collected in beach sand. The analyzes were carried out by ultrasound-assisted extraction and ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatog. with tandem mass spectrometry detection. The validated procedure was applied to MPs samples taken in sand samples from 13 beaches on the Canary Islands (Spain). The results showed the presence of 10 UV filters and UV stabilizers at concentrations between 1 and 4031 ng·g-1, where octocrylene was the most frequently found.
