Comparison of volatile compounds released by entomopathogenic fungi was written by Bojke, Aleksandra;Tkaczuk, Cezary;Stepnowski, Piotr;Golebiowski, Marek. And the article was included in Microbiological Research in 2018.Formula: C15H22O2 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

Entomopathogenic fungi are fungal species which are used as a potential source of biopesticides. These fungi produce secondary metabolites which in insects can cause disruption in the normal functioning of their bodies, disease or even death. In order to fully characterize the physiol. of entomopathogenic fungi we should identify the volatile organic compounds which are involved in this process. Therefore, we conducted a qual. and quant. anal. of volatile compounds produced by entomopathogenic fungi. Seven different species of fungi were analyzed: Metarhizium anisopliae, Metarhizium flavoviride, Pandora sp., Isaria fumosorosea, Hirsutella danubiensis, Batkoa sp. and Beauveria bassiana. The analyses were performed using the HS-SPME/GC-MS technique. In the analyzed fungi, 63 volatile compounds were identified and classified into the following groups: aldehydes, ketones, alcs., esters, acids, terpenes and others. The results show that entomopathogenic fungi produce a wide profile of secondary metabolites. Principal Components Anal. was used to determine whether sep. classes of fungi can be distinguished from one another based on their metabolite profiles. Regional convergence in the reaction of heterosubstituted allylic carbanions via allylic aluminum and boron ate complexes was written by Yamamoto, Yoshinori;Yatagai, Hidetaka;Saito, Yoshikazu. And the article was included in Journal of Organic Chemistry in 1984.Electric Literature of C14H24O2 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

The regiochem. in reactions of heterosubstituted allylic carbanions (I) is highly controlled via allylic Al or B ate complexes which direct both carbonyl compounds and reactive halides to the α-position with high regioselectivity. For example, carbonyl compounds react with I [R = Me2CHO (II), MeOCH2O (III), Me2CHS (IV), PhSe, Me3Si] at the α-position via the ate complexes. Although the reactions of the ate complexes (V) with aldehydes generally produce a mixture of erythro and threo isomers, the Al ate complex of III gives the erythro isomer with very high stereoselectivity. This procedure is applied to the stereoselective synthesis of exo-brevicomin. With allylic halides, the II and IV substituted allylic carbanions again react at the α-position via the ate complexes. However, the coupling mode is entirely different; the α-α’ coupling product is obtained from II, while the α-γ’ coupling product is produced from IV. The hydrolysis degradation of bisphenol-A polycarbonate (BPA-PC), isosorbide (ISB)-co-1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM) polycarbonate (IcC-PC), and BPA-PC/IcC-PC reactive blends were systematically investigated. The terminal hydroxyl groups of BPA-PC, thermally derived chem. structure on IcC-PC chains, and derivatives from phosphite antioxidants trigger severe hydrolysis degradation 1H-NMR anal. shows that carbonate groups connected to the BPA unit are most susceptible to hydrolysis, followed by ISB and CHDM units, demonstrating that the acidity of monomers plays a key role in the hydrolysis degradation of polycarbonates. Residual catalysts may cause significant hydrolysis in BPA-PC/IcC-PC reactive blends. Hydrolysis prefers to occur on the exo position of ISB unit with a low steric hindrance rather than on the endo position with a high electrophilicity, indicating that the residual catalyst acts as a Lewis acid and likely promotes hydrolysis through coordination mechanism. The hydrolysis resistance of BPA-PC/IcC-PC blends with a Na-based catalyst is lower than that of blends with K- and Cs-based catalysts because of the strong coordination ability. Diphenyl carbonate (cas: 102-09-0) belongs to esters. Carboxylic acid esters of low molecular weight are colourless, volatile liquids with pleasant odours, slightly soluble in water. Esters contain a carbonyl center, which gives rise to 120° C–C–O and O–C–O angles. Unlike amides, esters are structurally flexible functional groups because rotation about the C–O–C bonds has a low barrier. Their flexibility and low polarity is manifested in their physical properties; they tend to be less rigid (lower melting point) and more volatile (lower boiling point) than the corresponding amides. The synthesis of ROS-responsive polymers has attracted much attentions in recent years. Herein, we report a series of amphiphilic methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(carbonate-selenide)s (mPEG45-b-poly(MSe)m, m = 12, 24, 36, 48, 60) by introducing selenide groups onto the backbone via one-pot lipase-catalyzed ring-opening polymerization (ROP), the synthesized amphiphilic polymers with enhanced ROS-responsiveness can self-assemble to form nanoparticles. NMR, Gel Permeation Chromatog. and Fourier Transform IR are employed to confirm the structure of the polymers. Besides, the oxidation process of mPEG45-b-poly(MSe)m nanoparticles is also clarified. UV-visible Spectrophotometer, Dynamic Light Scattering and Transmission Electron Microscopy are further utilized to demonstrate the turbidity, morphol. and size changes under oxidization, proving that the selenide groups endow the mPEG45-b-poly(MSe)m nanoparticles with enhanced ROS-response properties. Therefore, the above studies highlight the synthesized ROS-responsive polymers and provided a potential material for further applications. The influence of the surface properties of silicon-fluorine hydrogel on protein adsorption was written by Xie, Haijiao;Zhao, Zhengbai; An, Shuangshuang;Jiang, Yong. And the article was included in Colloids and Surfaces, B: Biointerfaces in 2015.Name: 1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoroisopropylmethacrylate The following contents are mentioned in the article:

A range of fluorinated hydrogels were synthesized using the copolymerization of 1, 1, 1, 3, 3, 3-hexafluoroisopropyl methacrylate (HFMA) or 1H, 1H, 7H-dodecafluoroheptyl methacrylate (DFMA) with hydrophilic monomers. Bovine serum albumin (BSA) and Lysozyme (LZM) were chosen as model proteins to investigate the performance of protein adsorption on the surface of these fluorinated hydrogels. It was found that the performance of the fluorinated hydrogels toward protein adsorption was different for different proteins; simultaneously, the amount of protein adsorption was related to but not linear with the fluorine content on the hydrogel surface. With increasing HFMA content, the mass of BSA adsorption increased in the first stage and then decreased, meanwhile the mass of LZM adsorption exhibited an upward trend in general. In addition, the amount of protein adsorption was also related to the type and length of the fluorinated groups. The hydrogels made from DFMA behaved better than HFMA hydrogels in terms of reducing protein adsorption. Cyclodextrin-based nanosponges are widely investigated for several applications and are considered potential drug carriers. The method of nanosponges preparation involves the use of chem. crosslinking agents where the properties of Nanosponges can be affected. This study compared the resulting differences in the final nanosponges’ properties using carbonate and dianhydride crosslinkers. Di-Ph carbonate and EDTA dianhydride were used for the synthesis of nanosponges. Both types of nanosponges were loaded with curcumin as a model drug. Physicochem. characterizations, including PXRD, DSC, FTIR, SEM, AFM, particle size, zeta potential, and surface area anal., were carried out for the prepared nanosponges. Curcumin release and drug content were also evaluated. Nanosponges prepared by Di-Ph carbonate crosslinker resulted in an amorphous form compared to crystalline EDTA-nanosponges. Cyclodextrins are capable in forming inclusion complexation with various mols. resulting in increased solubility of drugs. Recently nanosponges have gained considerable attention, owing to their biocompatibility, nanoporous in nature, capable of forming supra mol. inclusion complexes with both hydrophilic and lipophilic drugs. Nanosponges are nanostructured carriers prepared by reacting cyclodextrin with suitable cross linkers such as carbonyl diimidazole, hexamethylene and di-Ph carbonate. In the present study, Atazanavir (ATZ) was selected as it is BCS Il drug having low solubility (0.11 mg/I) with a log P value of 5.6.4. It is used in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection with better potency, but low oral bioavailability. Atazanavir-β-cyclodextrin based nanosponges were prepared with varying concentration of 1,1 carbonyl diimidazole (CDI) as cross linker. Drug resistance remains a major challenge in the treatment of cancer. The multiplicity of the drug resistance determinants raises the question about the optimal strategies to deal with them. Essential oils showed to inhibit the growth of different tumor cell types. Essential oils contain several chem. classes of compounds whose heterogeneity of active moieties can help prevent the development of drug resistance. In the present paper, we analyzed, by gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry the chem. composition of the essential oil of the leaves of Kalanchoe beharensis obtained by hydrodistillation and compared the chem. composition of its essential oil with that of Cyphostemma juttae. Our results demonstrated the anticancer and proapoptotic activities of both species against acute myeloid leukemia on an in vitro model and its multidrug resistant variant involving NF-κB pathway. The essential oils of both species produced a significant decrease in many targets of NF-κB both at mRNA and protein levels.
