The high mortality rate from the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections in humans and the lack of effective therapeutic regime for its treatment necessitates the identification of new antivirals. SARS-CoV-2 relies on non-structural proteins such as Nsp13 helicase and nsp14 which are the key components of the replication-transcription complex (RTC) to complete its infectious life cycle. Therefore, targeting these essential viral proteins with small mols. will most likely to halt the disease pathogenesis. The lack of exptl. structures of these proteins deters the process of structure-based identification of their specific inhibitors. In the present study, the in silico models of SARS-CoV-2 nsp13 helicase and nsp14 protein were elucidated using a comparative homol. modeling approach. These in silico model structures were validated using various parameters such as Ramachandran plot, Verify 3D score, ERRAT score, knowledge-based energy and Z-score. The in silico models were further used for virtual screening of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved antiviral drugs. Simeprevir (SMV), Paritaprevir (PTV) and Grazoprevir (GZR) were the common leads identified which show higher binding affinity to both nsp13 helicase and nsp14 as compared to the control inhibitors and therefore, they might be potential dual-target inhibitors. The leads also establish a network of hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions with the key residues lining the active site pockets. The present findings suggest that these FDA approved antiviral drugs can be subjected to repurposing against SARS-CoV-2 infection after verifying the in silico results through in vitro and in vivo studies.

Filho, Jose B. G.; Gomes, Gustavo H. M.; Silva, Ingrid F.; Rios, Regiane D. F.; Victoria, Henrique F. V.; Krambrock, Klaus; Pereira, Marcio C.; Oliveira, Luiz C. A. published the artcile< Photocatalytic reduction of levulinic acid using thermally modified niobic acid>, Electric Literature of 112-63-0, the main research area is photocatalyst reduction levulinic acid thermally modified niobic acid.

After the discovery that com. niobic acid (H0) is able to reduce the levulinic acid in value added mols., H0 was thermally treated at 200°C, 400°C, and 600°C, generating the niobium oxides H1, H2 and H3 and the photocatalytic improvement towards reduction was investigated. Although the higher temperatures significantly decreased the sp. surface area, it was important to remove surface hydroxyl groups and create the T and TT-Nb2O5 phase mixture in H3 which were responsible for its best performance (36.4% of conversion and almost 99% of selectivity for reduced products). To further improve the H3 photoactivity, an identical synthesis was performed in H2 flow to produce oxygen vacancies in the structure of the new photocatalyst (H3OV). This simple modification method increased ∼7% of products yield, which is the best photocatalytic result obtained for pure niobium oxides so far, and proved that it is possible to significantly increase photocatalytic performance without laborious modifications. The electronic and structural differences between H3 and H3OV were investigated by XRD Rietveld refinement, EPR, HR-TEM, DRS and SAED analyses.

Tsoi, Yuk-Tai; Zhou, Zhongyuan; Yu, Wing-Yiu published the artcile< Rhodium-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling Reaction of Arylboronates and Diazoesters and Tandem Alkylation Reaction for the Synthesis of Quaternary α,α-Heterodiaryl Carboxylic Esters>, Recommanded Product: (9Z,12Z)-Methyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate, the main research area is heterodiaryl carboxylic ester quaternary preparation reaction mechanism; arylboronate preparation diazoester cross coupling rhodium catalyst; diazoester preparation arylboronate cross coupling rhodium catalyst; alkyl halide alkylation.

A rhodium-catalyzed one-pot three-component coupling reaction was developed for the synthesis of quaternary α,α-heterodiaryl carboxylic esters, e.g., I. This reaction involves cross-coupling of the arylrhodium(I) complexes with α-aryldiazoacetates to form oxa-π-allylrhodium complexes. With KOtBu and alkyl halides, tandem alkylation of the allyl complex occurs to form a quaternary stereocenter at the carbenic carbon.

Nano Letters published new progress about Battery anodes. 112-63-0 belongs to class esters-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C19H34O2, Name: (9Z,12Z)-Methyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate.

Zhang, Simeng; Yang, Gaojing; Liu, Zepeng; Li, Xiaoyun; Wang, Xuefeng; Chen, Renjie; Wu, Feng; Wang, Zhaoxiang; Chen, Liquan published the artcile< Competitive Solvation Enhanced Stability of Lithium Metal Anode in Dual-Salt Electrolyte>, Name: (9Z,12Z)-Methyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate, the main research area is lithium metal anode dual salt electrolyte solvation stability; competition mechanism; dual-salt electrolyte; secondary lithium metal batteries; solid electrolyte interphase; solvation structure.

The development of lithium metal batteries is hindered by the low Coulombic efficiency and poor cycling stability of the metallic lithium. The introduction of consumptive LiNO3 as an additive can improve the cycling stability, but its low solubility in the carbonate electrolytes makes this strategy impractical for long-term cycling. Herein we propose LiNO3 as a cosalt in the LiPF6-LiNO3 dual-salt electrolyte to enhance the cycling stability of lithium plating/stripping. Competitions among the components and the resultant substitution of NO3- for PF6- in the solvation shell facilitate the formation of a Li3N-rich solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film and suppress the LiPF6 decomposition The highly Li+ conductive and stable SEI film effectively tailors the lithium nucleation, suppresses the formation of lithium dendrites, and improves the cycling performance. The competitive solvation has profound importance for the design of a complex electrolyte to meet the multiple requirements of secondary lithium batteries.

Chemistry – An Asian Journal published new progress about Amphiphiles. 112-63-0 belongs to class esters-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C19H34O2, Formula: C19H34O2.

George, Subi J.; de Greef, Tom F. A.; Bovee, Ralf; van Dongen, Joost L. J.; Schenning, Albertus P. H. J.; Meijer, E. W. published the artcile< Photodimerization processes in self-assembled chiral oligo(p-phenylenevinylene) bolaamphiphiles>, Formula: C19H34O2, the main research area is photodimerization self assembled chiral oligo phenylenevinylene bolaamphiphile; monolayer surfactant stereoselective photochem cycloaddition.

An oligo(p-phenylene vinylene) (OPV) amphiphile has been synthesized with a pos. charged head group on one end and a hydrophilic ethyleneglycol wedge on the other. In water, this bolaamphiphile forms vesicles consisting of a monolayer in which the OPV surfactants are organized in a helical head-to-tail fashion. Mass spectrometry anal. and reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatog. (RP-HPLC) reveals that because of the presence of two double bonds in the OPV units, photo-induced [2+2] cycloaddition takes place resulting in polymerization of the surfactants. Performing RP-HPLC allowed the OPV dimer to be isolated in a sufficient amount to perform a variety of one- and two-dimensional NMR experiments These experiments show a highly stereoselective photochem. cycloaddition process resulting in a regioselective head-to-tail dimerization with a stereoselective syn arrangement.

Nogales-Delgado, Sergio’s team published research in Industrial Crops and Products in 2021-10-15 | 112-63-0

Industrial Crops and Products published new progress about Artichoke. 112-63-0 belongs to class esters-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C19H34O2, Recommanded Product: (9Z,12Z)-Methyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate.

Nogales-Delgado, Sergio; Encinar, Jose Maria; Gonzalez Cortes, Alvaro published the artcile< High oleic safflower oil as a feedstock for stable biodiesel and biolubricant production>, Recommanded Product: (9Z,12Z)-Methyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate, the main research area is biodiesel biolubricant oleic acid safflower oil feedstock.

Biodiesel and other derivative compounds which could act as biolubricants, can be a suitable alternative for petroleum products, which are less sustainable and harmful to the environment. However, especially when vegetable oils are used as raw materials (for instance Carthamus Tinctorius), these products can show poor oxidative stabilities, depending on their fatty acid composition Apart from adding antioxidants as additives, a good alternative might be the use of genetically modified seeds to facilitate high ratios of stable fatty acids like oleic acid. The aim of this work was to produce biodiesel and biolubricant from high oleic safflower through transesterification with methanol and 2-ethyl-2-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol, resp. The efficiency of these processes and the quality characterization of biodiesel and biolubricant were assessed. As a result, the biodiesel obtained (HOSBD) complied with the standard, with a high oxidative stability value (8.2 h) and not requiring any antioxidant addition The biolubricant obtained (HOSBL) showed higher oxidative stability (6.72 h) compared to their equivalent produced from rapeseed (Brassica Napus) or cardoon (Cynara Cardunculus L.). Consequently, two stable bioproducts were obtained and the role of fatty acid composition of raw material was vital (oleic/linoleic ratio had a strong influence on oxidative stability). In that sense, the use of stable raw materials like high oleic safflower might avoid antioxidant addition in biodiesel or biolubricants, which implies a cleaner and more sustainable production
