To the reaction mixture was added 1 M hydrochloric acid (20 ml), followed by concentrating under reduced pressure to remove the organic solvent. The precipitated solid was collected by filtration to obtain 600 mg of 4-cyclopropyl-3-fluorobenzoic acid as a colorless solid.
