Li, Zhenfeng; Lu, Yu; Chen, Pingping; Zeng, Qinghui; Wen, Xin; Wen, Wen; Liu, Yu; Chen, Anqi; Li, Zengxi; Wang, Zhixiang; Zhang, Liaoyun published the artcile< Suppressing shuttle effect by large oxygen-containing crosslinked hyperbranched polyurethane as cathode encapsulated layer for high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries>, Safety of (9Z,12Z)-Methyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate, the main research area is polyurethane lithium sulfur cathode battery encapsulation.

Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries have attracted a lot of attention because of their high energy d., low cost, and environmental friendliness. However, shuttle effect is one of the most obstacles to make the poor cycling performance and inhibit the development of Li-S batteries. Herein, a kind of large oxygen-containing polymer coated cathode, named polyurethane coated carbon-nanotube/sulfur composites (PU@S-CNT), is prepared from sulfur capsulated by the reaction of hyper branched polyether and diisocyanate via a simple “”one-pot”” strategy to impede the shuttle effect. This PU@S-CNT cathode can not only inhibit the dissolution of lithium polysulfides by phys. barrier, but also can absorb the lithium polysulfides by the chem. effect. Especially, the cell with PU@S-CNT electrode shows an excellent initial cycling capacity of 892 mAh g-1 at 2C and remarkable capacity retention (a low decay rate of 0.051% per cycle at 2C after 450 cycles). More importantly, this coated cathode (PU@S-CNT) demonstrates a good inhibition of shuttle effect, high transmission speed of lithium ion and good cycle reversibility. This work exhibits the cross-linked hyper branched polyurethane is used as coatings of the sulfur cathode for the first time, which can reveal a potential prospect of high-level heteroatom doped coated cathodes for high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries.

Yayik, Nihan; Perez, Maria; Molins, Elies; Bosch, Joan; Amat, Mercedes published the artcile< Studies on the enantioselective synthesis of E-ethylidene-bearing spiro[indolizidine-1,3'-oxindole] alkaloids>, Quality Control of 112-63-0, the main research area is ethylidene bearing spiro indolizidine oxindole alkaloid enantioselective preparation; alkaloids; ethylidene; oxindoles; spiro compounds.

A synthetic route for the enantioselective construction of the tetracyclic spiro[indolizidine-1,3′-oxindole] framework present in a large number of oxindole alkaloids, with a cis H-3/H-15 stereochem., a functionalized two-carbon substituent at C-15, and an E-ethylidene substituent at C-20, was reported. The key steps of the synthesis were the generation of the tetracyclic spirooxindole ring system by stereoselective spirocyclization from a tryptophanol-derived oxazolopiperidone lactam, the removal of the hydroxymethyl group, and the stereoselective introduction of the E-ethylidene substituent by acetylation at the α-position of the lactam carbonyl, followed by hydride reduction and elimination. Following this route, the 21-oxo derivative of the enantiomer of the alkaloid 7(S)-geissoschizol oxindole was prepared

Swiha, Mina M.; Sutherland, Duncan E. K.; Sistani, Golmehr; Khatami, Alireza; Abazid, Rami M.; Mujoomdar, Amol; Wiseman, Daniele P.; Romsa, Jonathan G.; Reid, Robert H.; Laidley, David T. published the artcile< Survival predictors of 177Lu-Dotatate peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) in patients with progressive well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (NETS)>, Recommanded Product: (9Z,12Z)-Methyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate, the main research area is peptide receptor radionuclide therapy progressive neuroendocrine tumor; Lu-Dotatate; Neuroendocrine; PRRT; Prognostic factors; Survival predictors.

177Lu-Dotatate is an emerging treatment modality for patients with unresectable or metastatic well-differentiated NETs. This study examines survival predictors in patients who received 177Lu-Dotatate. A retrospective single-center review was conducted, examining 47 individuals with progressive well-differentiated NETs treated with 177Lu-Dotatate (four induction cycles of 5.5 GBq at 10-wk intervals followed by eight maintenance cycles of 3.7 GBq at 6-mo intervals). Median follow-up was 63.1 mo with a median progression-free survival (PFS) of 34.1 mo. However, median overall survival (OS) was not reached at the time of anal. The presence of ≥ 5 bone metastases (hazard ratio HR 4.33; p = 0.015), non-gastroenteropancreatic (non-GEP) NETs (HR 3.22; p = 0.025) and development of interim ascites (HR 3.15; p = 0.047) independently predicted a worse OS. Patients with chromogranin A of 1774 × upper limit of normal (ULN) had shorter OS (p < 0.001) and PFS (p = 0.004). Similarly, those with pre-existing ascites demonstrated a worse OS (p = 0.009) and PFS (p = 0.026). Liver metastases involving greater than 50% liver volume and the existence of unusual metastatic locations had a neg. impact on OS (p = 0.033) and PFS (p = 0.026), resp. High burden of skeletal and hepatic metastases, non-GEP-NETs, chromogranin A of ≥ 4 × ULN, unusual metastatic sites, pre-existing and interim ascites are predictors of poor outcomes in patients treated with 177Lu-Dotatate. These common indicators can be used for the risk stratification and identification of patients most likely to benefit from PRRT. Medical Oncology (New York, NY, United States) published new progress about 112-63-0. 112-63-0 belongs to class esters-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C19H34O2, Safety of (9Z,12Z)-Methyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate.

Ozgiray, Erkin; Sogutlu, Fatma; Biray Avci, Cigir published the artcile< Chk1/2 inhibitor AZD7762 enhances the susceptibility of IDH-mutant brain cancer cells to temozolomide>, Safety of (9Z,12Z)-Methyl octadeca-9,12-dienoate, the main research area is AZD7762; DNA damage response; IDH-mutant glioma; Polploidy; Temozolomide.

Abstract: The IDH mutation initially exhibits chemosensitive properties, progression-free survival cannot be achieved in the later grades, and malignant transformation occurs as a result of TMZ-induced hypermutation profile and adaptation to this profile. In this study, we evaluated the potential of the combination of TMZ and AZD7762 at mol. level, to increase the anticancer activity of TMZ in IDH-mutant U87-mg cells. We used the WST-1 test to evaluate cytotoxic effect of TMZ and AZD7762 combination with dose-effect and isobologram curves. The effects of the inhibitory and effective concentrations of the combination on apoptosis, cell cycle and γ-H2AX phosphorylation were analyzed with flow cytometry. The expression of genes responsible for the DNA damage response was analyzed with qRT-PCR. The combination showed a synergistic effect with high dose reduction index. Single and combined administrations of TMZ and AZD7762 increased in G2/M arrest from 24 to 48 h, and cells in the G2/M phase shifted towards octaploidy at 72 h. While no double-strand breaks were detected after TMZ treatment, AZD7762 and combination treatments caused a significant increase in γ-H2AX phosphorylation and increased apoptotic stimulation towards 72 h although TMZ did not cause apoptotic effect in IDH-mutant U87-mg cells. The genes controlling the apoptosis were determined to be upregulated in all three groups, and genes regarding cell cycle checkpoints were downregulated. Targeting Chk1/2 with AZD7762 simultaneously with TMZ may be a potential therapeutic strategy for both increasing the sensitivity of IDH-mutant glioma cells to TMZ and reducing the dose of TMZ. Graphical abstract: In IDH-mutant glioma cells, AZD7762, the Chk1/2 inhibitor, can increase the efficacy of Temozolomide by (i) increasing mitotic chaos, and (ii) inhibiting double-strand break repair, (iii) thereby inducing cell death. Bakaraki Turan, Nouha; Zaman, Buse T.; Arvas, Busra; Yolacan, Cigdem; Bakirdere, Sezgin published the artcile< Implementation of a spraying-assisted fine droplet formation-based simultaneous liquid-phase microextraction method for the determination of copper in clove extract samples>, Category: esters-buliding-blocks, the main research area is simultaneous liquid phase microextraction copper clove extract spraying apparatus.

A simultaneous liquid-phase microextraction method was investigated as an alternative to the traditional dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction for the determination of copper. The potential of this approach is based on the simultaneous complexation and extraction process (SCE) using an innovative spraying apparatus forming finer droplets. Method optimization was performed after ensuring the complexation of copper with a novel ligand, namely 8-(1,3-dihydroxy-1-phenylpropan-2-ylimino)methyl)-7-hydroxy-4-phenyl-2H-chromen-2-one ligand with respect to the conventional FAAS system; the detection power of the new developed system (spraying-assisted fine droplet formation-based simultaneous liquid-phase microextraction-slotted quartz tube-flame at. absorption spectrometry, SAFDF-SLPME-SQT-FAAS) was about 33.8. The quantification and detection values were calculated to be 8.7 and 2.6 μg L-1. Recovery studies were tested in clove extract samples. Obtained percent recoveries were between 96.0 and 103.3% highlighting the applicability and the accuracy of the developed method.

Nature Communications published new progress about Anionic ring-opening polymerization. 112-63-0 belongs to class esters-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C19H34O2, Category: esters-buliding-blocks.

Anilkumar, Parambath; Lawson, Taylor B.; Abbina, Srinivas; Makela, Janne T. A.; Sabatelle, Robert C.; Takeuchi, Lily E.; Snyder, Brian D.; Grinstaff, Mark W.; Kizhakkedathu, Jayachandran N. published the artcile< Mega macromolecules as single molecule lubricants for hard and soft surfaces>, Category: esters-buliding-blocks, the main research area is mega hyperbranched polyglycerol mol lubricant hard soft surface.

A longstanding goal in science and engineering is to mimic the size, structure, and functionality present in biol. with synthetic analogs. Today, synthetic globular polymers of several million mol. weight are unknown, and, yet, these structures are expected to exhibit unanticipated properties due to their size, compactness, and low inter-chain interactions. Here we report the gram-scale synthesis of dendritic polymers, mega hyperbranched polyglycerols (mega HPGs), in million daltons. The mega HPGs are highly water soluble, soft, nanometer-scale single polymer particles that exhibit low intrinsic viscosities. Further, the mega HPGs are lubricants acting as interposed single mol. ball bearings to reduce the coefficient of friction between both hard and soft natural surfaces in a size dependent manner. We attribute this result to their globular and single particle nature together with its exceptional hydration. Collectively, these results set the stage for new opportunities in the design, synthesis, and evaluation of mega polymers.

Press, Loren P.; Kosanovich, Alex J.; McCulloch, Billy J.; Ozerov, Oleg V. published the artcile< High-Turnover Aromatic C-H Borylation Catalyzed by POCOP-Type Pincer Complexes of Iridium>, HPLC of Formula: 112-63-0, the main research area is borylation arene pinacolate iridium pincer complex catalyst mechanism; crystal structure mol iridium pincer complex preparation borylation catalyst.

The catalytic C-H borylation of arenes with HBpin (pin = pinacolate) using POCOP-type pincer complexes of Ir has been demonstrated, with turnover numbers exceeding 10,000 in some cases. The selectivity of C-H activation was based on steric preferences and largely mirrored that found in other Ir borylation catalysts. Catalysis in the (POCOP)Ir system depends on the presence of stoichiometric quantities of sacrificial olefin, which is hydrogenated to consume the H2 equivalents generated in the borylation of C-H bonds with HBpin. Smaller olefins such as ethylene or 1-hexene were more advantageous to catalysis than sterically encumbered tert-butylethylene (TBE). Olefin hydroboration is a competing side reaction. The synthesis and isolation of multiple complexes potentially relevant to catalysis permitted examination of several key elementary reactions. These experiments indicate that the C-H activation step in catalysis ostensibly involves oxidative addition of an aromatic C-H bond to the three-coordinate (POCOP)Ir species. The olefin is mechanistically critical to gain access to this 14-electron, monovalent Ir intermediate. C-H activation at Ir(I) here is in contrast to the olefin-free catalysis with state-of-the-art Ir complexes supported by neutral bidentate ligands, where the C-H activating step is understood to involve trivalent Ir-boryl intermediates.

The complex pathophysiol. of depression, together with the limits of currently available antidepressants, has resulted in the continuous quest for alternative therapeutic strategies. Numerous findings suggest that pharmacol. blockade ofα2-adrenoceptor might be beneficial for the treatment of depressive symptoms by increasing both norepinephrine and serotonin levels in certain brain areas. The antidepressant properties of 5-HT7 receptor antagonists have been widely demonstrated in a large set of animal models. Considering the potential therapeutic advantages in targeting both α2-adrenoceptors and 5-HT7 receptors, a small series of arylsulfonamide derivatives of (dihydrobenzofuranoxy)ethyl piperidines I (Ar = 4-fluorophenyl, naphthalen-1-yl, isoquinolin-4-yl, etc.; m = 0,1) as dually active ligands were designed. Following green chem. principles, the designed compounds were synthesized entirely using a sustainable mechanochem. approach. The identified compound I (Ar = 5-chloro-2-fluorophenyl (II)) behaved as a potent α2A/5-HT7 receptor antagonist and displayed moderate-to-high selectivity over α1-adrenoceptor subtypes and selected serotonin and dopaminergic receptors. Finally, (II) improved performance of mice in the forced swim test, displaying similar potency to the reference drug mirtazapine.
