Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries published new progress about Computer program. 112-63-0 belongs to class esters-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C19H34O2, Product Details of C19H34O2.

Olivier-Maget, Nelly; Berdouzi, Fatine; Murillo, Carlos; Gabas, Nadine published the artcile< Deviation propagation along a propylene glycol process using dynamic simulation: An innovative contribution to the risk evaluation>, Product Details of C19H34O2, the main research area is propylene glycol dynamic simulation risk evaluation.

Nowadays, quant. risk anal. is essential for safety process management. For this purpose, dynamic simulation is an efficient tool to predict the time evolution of process parameters during deviations from normal operating conditions. There is a real interest in knowing the system behavior during malfunctions for the design of safety barriers. As a matter of fact, the knowledge of the process dynamic behavior and the profiles of the operating parameters during a degraded mode permits to provide guidelines regarding the required safety barriers. Nevertheless, the description of the process dynamic behavior in case of failures remains a challenge. In this study, a methodol. is proposed: it combines dynamic simulation with ASPEN PLUS DYNAMICS 9.0 software tool, lessons learnt from accidents and risk anal. The primary focus of this paper is on risks occurring in distillation columns, unit operation involved in the case study. The case study concerns a continuous process of propylene glycol (C3H8O2) production The synthesis unit involves three consecutive competitive reactions leading to the formation of byproducts: di and tri glycols (C6H14O3 and C9H20O4 resp.). The process is composed of a CSTR reactor and two distillation columns in series (C1 and C2). Two deviation scenarios on C1 reboiler, chosen according lessons learnt from previous accidents, are simulated and the consequences on C1 and C2 operation analyzed. Overpressure, flooding and weeping occurrence are put in evidence and quantified. This work provides a new perspective on risk quantification through the anal. of deviation propagation along a process involving several unit operations.

Aggregates of tau and beta amyloid (Aβ) plaques constitute the histopathol. hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease and are prominent targets for novel therapeutics as well as for biomarkers for diagnostic in vivo imaging. In recent years much attention has been devoted to the discovery and development of new PET tracers to image tau aggregates in the living human brain. Access to a selective PET tracer to image and quantify tau aggregates represents a unique tool to support the development of any novel therapeutic agent targeting pathol. forms of tau. The objective of the study described herein was to identify such a novel radiotracer. As a result of this work, we discovered three novel PET tracers (2-(4-[11C]methoxyphenyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-7-amine 7 ([11C]RO6924963), N-[11C]methyl-2-(3-methylphenyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-7-amine 8 ([11C]RO6931643), and [18F]2-(6-fluoropyridin-3-yl)pyrrolo[2,3-b:4,5-c’]dipyridine 9 ([18F]RO6958948)) with high affinity for tau neurofibrillary tangles, excellent selectivity against Aβ plaques, and appropriate pharmacokinetic and metabolic properties in mice and non-human primates.

Lanzl, M I’s team published research in International Journal of Food Microbiology in 2022-02-16 | 112-63-0

International Journal of Food Microbiology published new progress about Campylobacter. 112-63-0 belongs to class esters-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C19H34O2, Related Products of 112-63-0.

Lanzl, M. I.; van Mastrigt, O.; Zwietering, M. H.; Abee, T.; den Besten, H. M. W. published the artcile< Role of substrate availability in the growth of Campylobacter co-cultured with extended spectrum beta-lactamase-producing Escherichia coli in Bolton broth>, Related Products of 112-63-0, the main research area is Campylobacter growth ESBL Escherichia; Enrichment; Extracellular metabolites; HPLC; ISO 10272-1:2017; Oxygen-deprivation.

It is well-established that Extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing (ESBL-) Escherichia coli challenge reliable detection of campylobacters during enrichment in Bolton broth (BB) following ISO 10272-1:2017. The overgrowth of Campylobacter by ESBL-E. coli in the enrichment medium BB can lead to false-neg. detection outcomes, but the cause for the growth suppression is yet unknown. A plausible reason could be the competition-induced lack of certain growth substrates. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate whether campylobacters and ESBL-E. coli compete for the same medium components and whether this is the cause for the observed growth repression. The availability of possible growth substrates in BB was determined and changes in their extracellular concentration were measured over time during mono-culture enrichment of C. jejuni, C. coli or ESBL-E. coli as well as in co-culture enrichments of campylobacters and ESBL-E. coli. Comparative anal. showed lactate and fumarate utilization by C. jejuni and C. coli exclusively, whereas ESBL-E. coli rapidly consumed asparagine, glutamine/arginine, lysine, threonine, tryptophan, pyruvate, glycerol, cellobiose, and glucose. Both campylobacters and ESBL-E. coli utilized aspartate, serine, formate, a-ketoglutarate and malate. Trends in compound utilization were similar for C. jejuni and C. coli and trends in compound utilization were rather comparable during enrichment of reference and freeze-stressed campylobacters. Since final cell densities of C. jejuni and C. coli in co-cultures were not enhanced by the addition of surplus L-serine and final cell densities were similar in fresh and spent medium, growth suppression seems not to be caused by a lack of substrates or production of inhibitory compounds We hypothesized that oxygen availability was limiting growth in co-cultures. Higher oxygen availability increased the competitive fitness of C. jejuni 81-176 in co-culture with ESBL-E. coli in duplicate experiments, as cell concentrations in stationary phase were similar to those without competition. This could indicate the critical role of oxygen availability during the growth of Campylobacter and offers potential for further improvement of Campylobacter spp. enrichment efficacy.

Cheng, Kai; Li, Shiyu; Lv, Xiao; Tian, Yongbin; Kong, Haiyan; Huang, Xufeng; Duan, Yajun; Han, Jihong; Xie, Zhouling; Liao, Chenzhong published the artcile< Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of novel human monoamine oxidase B inhibitors based on a fragment in an X-ray crystal structure>, HPLC of Formula: 30095-98-8, the main research area is isatin monoamine oxidase B; Fragment-based drug design; Isatin; Isoform selectivity; Structure activity relationship; hMAO-B.

Herein we report our efforts of developing reversible selective hMAO-B inhibitors based on isatin, a fragment in an X-ray crystal structure. Five different scaffolds were designed and many compounds were synthesized. Among them, compound A3(I) demonstrated very high potency and isoform selectivity against hMAO-B, 11 and 13 times more potent (IC50 = 3 nM) and 23.64 and 6.8 times more selective than the marked drugs, selegiline and safinamide. However, the endeavors to modify the polar 3-one group of isatin, that is in a hydrophobic environment in the binding site of hMAO-B, to small nonpolar hydrophobic groups did not bring about improved hMAO-B inhibitors, which may challenge our understanding of mol. interactions and mol. recognition in biol. systems.

Smiley, Shelby B.; Zarrinmayeh, Hamideh; Das, Sudip K.; Pollok, Karen E.; Vannier, Michael W.; Veronesi, Michael C. published the artcile< Novel therapeutics and drug-delivery approaches in the modulation of glioblastoma stem cell resistance>, Reference of 112-63-0, the main research area is review glioblastoma temozolomide stem cell drug delivery nanomedicine; CD44; CD133; CSC; GBM; aptamers; cancer stem cells; glioblastoma; idasanutlin; liposome; nanomedicine; nanoparticle; nestin; paclitaxel; solid-lipid nanoparticle; temozolomide; theranostics.

A review. Glioblastoma (GBM) is a deadly malignancy with a poor prognosis. An important factor contributing to GBM recurrence is high resistance of GBM cancer stem cells (GSCs). While temozolomide (TMZ), has been shown to consistently extend survival, GSCs grow resistant to TMZ through upregulation of DNA damage repair mechanisms and avoidance of apoptosis. Since a single-drug approach has failed to significantly alter prognosis in the past 15 years, unique approaches such as multidrug combination therapy together with distinctive targeted drug-delivery approaches against cancer stem cells are needed. In this review, a rationale for multidrug therapy using a targeted nanotechnol. approach that preferentially target GSCs is proposed with discussion and examples of drugs, nanomedicine delivery systems, and targeting moieties.
