Catalytic hydroconversion of methanol-soluble portion from Xiaolongtan lignite over difunctional Ni/Z5A was written by Li, Wei-Tu;Wei, Xian-Yong;Liu, Xiang-Xue;Guo, Lu-Lu;Qi, Shi-Chao;Li, Zhan-Ku;Zhang, Dong-Dong;Zong, Zhi-Min. A highly active difunctional supported nickel catalyst Ni/Z5A was prepared by thermally decomposing nickel carbonyl onto zeolite 5A (Z5A). The catalytic hydroconversion (CHC) of methanol-soluble portion (MSP) from the methanolysis of Xiaolongtan lignite was investigated over Ni/Z5A at 200 °C. Detailed mol. compositions of MSP and catalytically hydrogenated MSP (CHMSP) were characterized with a Fourier transform IR spectrometer, gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer (GC/MS), and neg.-ion electrospray ionization Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometer (ESIFTICRMS). According to anal. with GC/MS, MSP is rich in aromatic ring- and/or heteroatom-containing compounds, while most of the GC/MS-detectable compounds in CHMSP are chain alkanes and cyclanes. The anal. with ESIFTICRMS shows that both the number and yields of oxygen- and/or nitrogen-containing species in MSP were dramatically reduced after the CHC. These facts indicate that Ni/Z5A effectively catalyzed heteroatom (especially O atom) removal from MSP and hydrogenation of MSP. Naphth-1-ol and oxybis(methylene)dibenzene (OBMDB) were used as lignite-related model compounds and their CHCs were investigated to further understand the catalysis of Ni/Z5A in the CHC of MSP. As a result, Ni/Z5A proved to have 2 functions, i.e., activating H2 to biat. active hydrogen (BAAH) and heterolytically splitting H2 to H+ relatively free from Ni/Z5A and H adsorbed on Ni/Z5A. Over Ni/Z5A, the CHCs of naphth-1-ol and OBMDB proceeded via BAAH and H+ transfer to mainly produce tetralin and decalin from naphth-1-ol and methylcyclohexane and toluene from OBMDB. Methyl nonadecanoate (cas: 1731-94-8) belongs to esters. Esters are widespread in nature and are widely used in industry. In nature, fats are in general triesters derived from glycerol and fatty acids. Esters are responsible for the aroma of many fruits. Esters contain a carbonyl center, which gives rise to 120° C–C–O and O–C–O angles. Unlike amides, esters are structurally flexible functional groups because rotation about the C–O–C bonds has a low barrier. Their flexibility and low polarity is manifested in their physical properties; they tend to be less rigid (lower melting point) and more volatile (lower boiling point) than the corresponding amides. The aim of current study was the optimization of chromatog. conditions for complete separation of Me esters of fatty acids by modifications of parameters: inlet pressure of carrier gas and temperature gradient. After application of Method 1 (inlet pressure of carrier gas: 10 Psi and temperature gradient: from 60°C to 135°C for mixture of Me Laurate, Me Palmitate, Me Heptadecanoate, Me Stearate, Me Nonadecanoate, Me Behenate, Me Lignocerate, Me Hexacosanoate, Me Palmitoleate, Me Oleate, Me Linolenate, was obtained good separation for all Me esters, excluding of critical couple of Me esters of Stearic acid and Linoleic acid. For optimization of their separation were found the more suitable conditions: inlet pressure of carrier gas was changed from 10 Psi to 15 Psi and temperature gradient was modified from 60°C to 160°C (Method 2). By this method Me esters of Stearic acid and Linolenic acids were separated completely, but the separation of the esters of Oleic acid and Linoleic acid was not satisfactory. Method 3 include inlet pressure of carrier gas 15 Psi and temperature program from 140°C to 240°C, provide completely separatation of all Me esters of fatty acids, inluding Me esters of Oleic acid and Linoleic acid and can be applied for rutine anal. of fatty acids in food additives, after derivatization to Me esters. The synthesis of biodiesel from cottonseed oil using heterogeneous calcined clam shells by transesterification was studied. The effects of the amount of catalyst and the oil-to-methanol ratio on the yield of the biodiesel produced were determined A maximum yield of 84% biodiesel was obtained. Various characterization tests such as Fourier transform IR spectroscopy (FT-IR), Gas Chromatog. – Mass Spectrometry and NMR Spectroscopy were carried out to ascertain the functional groups and compounds available in the product biodiesel obtained. The properties of the biodiesel using the calcined clamshell catalyst, such as d., viscosity, saponification value, iodine value and ester value, were estimated and compared with the American Society for Testing Materials standard values to determine the quality of the biodiesel produced. The yield of the biodiesel produced was modelled using response surface methodol., and contour regions were obtained. The surface morphol. of the catalyst was studied using a scanning electron microscope. From the kinetics results obtained, the forward rate constant of the adsorption of methanol onto the catalyst surface was found to be very low (1.467 × 10-4), confirming that the kinetics of biodiesel production is limited by adsorption of methanol onto the active sites of the catalyst. And the article was included in International Journal of Biological Macromolecules in 2018.Electric Literature of C20H40O2 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

In the food packaging sector many efforts have been (and are) devoted to the development of new materials in order to reply to an urgent market demand for green and eco-sustainable products. Particularly a lot of attention is currently devoted both to the use of compostable and biobased polymers as innovative and promising alternative to the currently used petrochem. derived polymers, and to the re-use of waste materials coming from agriculture and food industry. In this work, multifunctional eco-sustainable systems, based on poly(lactic acid) (PLA) as biopolymeric matrix, diatomaceous earth as reinforcing filler and spent coffee grounds extract as oxygen scavenger, were produced for the first time, in order to provide a simultaneous improvement of mech. and gas barrier properties. The influence of the diatomite and the spent coffee grounds extract on the microstructural, mech. and oxygen barrier properties of the produced films was deeply investigated by means of X-Ray diffraction (XRD), IR spectroscopy (FT-IR, ATR), SEM (SEM), uniaxial tensile tests, O2 permeabilimetry measurements. An improvement of both mech. and oxygen barrier properties was recorded for systems characterised by the co-presence of diatomite and coffee grounds extract, suggesting a possible synergic effect of the two additives. Periplaneta americana (PA) is used as a traditional medicine for hepatic diseases such as hepatic fibrosis in China. However, the relationship between the corresponding therapeutic effect and the chem. composition is still unclear. In this study, spectrum-effect relationship and chem. component separation were used to discover the potential of anti-hepatic fibrosis components of PA. The fingerprints of 10 batches of samples were established using HPLC, and the anti-hepatic fibrosis effect was determined using HSC-T6 cells. The spectrum-effect relationship between common peaks and efficacy values was established using partial least squares anal. Partial peaks in the fingerprints were identified, including X4 (9,12-heptadecanedenoic acid glyceride), X5 (nonadecanoic acid Me ester), X6 (glyceryl oleate), X7 (13,16,19-eicosatrienoic acid), X9 (linoleic acid), X10 (9,12,15-octadecatrienoic acid glyceride), X12 (hexadecanoic acid), X13 (oleic acid), and X14 (octadecanoic acid), and their anti-hepatic fibrosis activity was tested to verify the results of spectrum-effect relationships. The results showed that X4, X6, X7, and X10 were the active ingredients of PA. A novel actinobacterial strain, designated NEAU-LL90T, was isolated from cow dung collected from Shangzhi, Heilongjiang Province, north-east PR China and characterized by using a polyphasic approach. Morphol. and chemotaxonomic characteristics were consistent with those members of the genus Nocardia. The polar lipids consisted of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylinositol mannoside. The predominant menaquinone detected was MK-8(H4, ω-cycl). Major fatty acids (>10%) were identified as C16:0, C18:1ω9c, C18:0 and 10-Me C19:0. Mycolic acids were present. The results of 16S rRNA gene sequence anal. showed that strain NEAU-LL90T belongs to the genus Nocardia with high sequence similarity to Nocardia niigatensis JCM11894T (98.1%), similarities to other type strains of species of the genus Nocardia were found to be lower than 98.0%. Furthermore, a combination of DNA-DNA hybridization results and some phenotypic characteristics demonstrated that strain NEAU-LL90T could be distinguished from its closest relative. Therefore, it is proposed that strain NEAU-LL90T represents a novel species of the genus Nocardia, for which the name Nocardia stercoris sp. nov. is proposed. Ultrasonic-assisted phosphate curing: a novel approach to improve curing rate and chicken meat quality was written by Tong, Huiquan;Cao, Changwei;Du, Yanli;Liu, Yong;Huang, Wei. And the article was included in International Journal of Food Science and Technology in 2022.Quality Control of Methyl nonadecanoate The following contents are mentioned in the article:

The effects of ultrasound-assisted phosphate curing (UPC), phosphate curing (PC), and deionised water curing (DC) on the quality of chicken breast meat were investigated. The anal. of tissue sections, low-field NMR (LF-NMR), and headspace solid-phase microextraction gas-phase mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) of water distribution, myofibrillary structure, and volatile components of the meat samples were performed to reveal the mechanism. Also, the curing rate, water holding capacity (WHC), and shear force of meat were assessed. The results revealed that ultrasonic-assisted salting improved the meat salting rate, WHC, and tenderness by mech. destroying the muscle fiber structure, increasing the space between the muscle fiber bundles, promoting water migration and uniform distribution, and reducing water freedom in the treated samples. In addition, HS-SPME-GC-MS anal. revealed that PC significantly reduced the content of volatile flavor components in the chicken breast meat compared with DC (P < 0.05); however, the combination treatment with PC and ultrasonic curing could reconstruct the flavor loss caused by phosphate. Thus, our cumulative results suggest that the ultrasonic technol. may effectively assist the processing technol. in improving the quality of meat and reconstructing the flavor loss in meat products. In nature, fats are in general triesters derived from glycerol and fatty acids. Esters are responsible for the aroma of many fruits. Acyl chlorides and acid anhydrides alcoholysis is another way to produce esters. Acyl chlorides and acid anhydrides react with alcohols to produce esters. Anydrous conditions are recommended since both acyl chlorides and acid anhydrides react with water.Category: esters-buliding-blocks
