TiO2-ZnO heterogeneous catalytic system provides a good replacement of a homogeneous catalytic reaction due to its easier recovery. In this study, biodiesel was produced from Ulva lactuca seaweeds using TiO2-ZnO nanocomposite catalysts with particle size of ∼12 nm. The size controlled TiO2-ZnO nanocomposite was characterized by powder XRD anal. and TEM. The result of that TiO2-ZnO catalyst is a promising catalyst for the production of biodiesel under mild reaction conditions and high yield of hydroxydecanoic acid conversion of 82.8%. The various conditions optimized for the higher conversion to FAME (15.8 mL of FAME) were 4 wt% catalysts at 4 h under 60°C and further there is no increase of conversion to FAME above 60°C-80°C. The total product yield was calculated as 82.8% of conversion to FAME. The evaluated biodiesel was found to be up to the mark of ASTM standards The silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were synthesized by using leftover biomass of algae obtaining after lipid extraction of U.lactuca. AgNPs particle size was achieved as ∼12 nm and was confirmed by UV-Visible spectroscopy, XRD and TEM anal. Antibacterial activities of the synthesized AgNPs were analyzed and compared. The antibacterial activity was excellent against bacterial pathogens and treatment against P. vulgaris shows the maximum zone of inhibition (13.8 mm). The present work identified that the unutilized bioresource such as U.lactuca can be effectively utilized for biodiesel production so as to replace fossil fuel usage. Hydrocarbon pollution from domestic oil recycling industries in peri-urban soils. Lipid molecular assemblages was written by Alvarez, Ana M.;Carral, Pilar;Hernandez, Zulimar;Almendros, Gonzalo. And the article was included in Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering in 2016.Product Details of 1731-94-8 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

The impact of continuous inputs of hydrocarbons from domestic waste oil recycling industries and further remediation practices, like inertization (liming and addition of ashes), have been studied in peri-urban soils in Spain in order to monitor the fate and spatial distribution patterns of potentially hazardous organic compounds Phys. and chem. properties of undisturbed soils or contaminated with waste-oil were determined Lipid fractions were extracted using a dichloromethane:methanol mixture and analyzed by gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) in search for environmental proxies. A pollution gradient (distance to the waste oil spill) was accompanied by the following chromatog. features: (i) the increasing extent of the unresolved ‘hump’ caused by branched/cyclic alkanes with non-biogenic signature, (ii) the depletion of fatty acids and alkanol series, and (iii) the accumulation of phenols and polycyclic hydrocarbons. An increase in the C-preference index (odd-C/even-C numbered homologues) of fatty acids was also detected with an opposed trend in alkane chains. Concerning alkanes and fatty acids chain length, there was a generalized decrease whereas a progressive increase of alien long-chain (>C20) homologues was observed Signature compounds found in waste oil (mainly squalene, steroids and waxes) were almost absent from neighbor soils, either undisturbed or inertized, suggesting the occurrence of rapid biodegradation or condensation processes in the soil matrix probably aided by the remediation practices or by abiotic humification processes. And the article was included in Fuel Processing Technology in 2014.Name: Methyl nonadecanoate The following contents are mentioned in the article:

Cornstalk liquefaction (CSL) in methanol, water or methanol/water mixed solvents was studied at 250-320 °C. Each reaction mixture was separated into extract 1 (E1, including the solute in filtrate and methanol-extractable portion), extract 2 (E2, methanol-inextractable but isometric carbon disulfide/acetone-extractable portion) and residue (isometric carbon disulfide/acetone-inextractable portion) by filtration and sequential extraction with methanol and isometric carbon disulfide/acetone mixed solvent. The cornstalk, E1, E2 and the residues were analyzed using a Fourier transformation IR spectrometer and each E1 was analyzed using a gas chromatog./mass spectrometer. The microstructures of the cornstalk and its derived residues were observed with a scanning electron microscope. The results show that methanol and water exhibited a synergic effect on the CSL. The isometric methanol and water mixed solvent was found to be most effective for CSL at 300 °C for 30 min. Under such conditions, the total yield of gases, E1 and E2 and the yield of E1 reached 88.1% and 52.4%, resp. The yields decreased as the temperature or time was further increased, suggesting that some of the extractable species were repolymd. at higher temperatures or for prolonged time. E1 consisted of hydrocarbons, alkanols, tetrahydrofuranylmethanols, arenols, methoxyalkanes, methoxyarenes, ketones, carboxylic acids, esters, chloromethylbenzenes, nitrogen-containing species and several other species. Microalgae are organisms effective of accumulating high quantity of industrially important lipids with promising characteristics as an excellent feedstock for biodiesel production This study assess the possibility of using a green microalga, Chlorococcum infusionum (EAU-10) for biodiesel production by evaluating the growth characteristic, lipid yield and fatty acid profile of the microalga cultivated at varying concentrations of nitrogen source (0.375 – 1.50 g L-1 NaNO3). High lipid accumulation was observed in nitrogen-starved cultivation condition (0.375 g L-1 NaNO3) after 23 days of growth. Maximum biomass concentration of Chlorococcum infusionum (EAU-10) under nitrogen starved condition is 0.577 ± 0.003 g L-1 with 21.26% oil content per dry weight of algal biomass and lipid productivity of 22.08 mg L-1 day-1. Nitrogen starvation caused an increase in the total oil content and a decrease in biomass production of the microalga. Profiling of fatty acids of the obtained algal biodiesel shows Me palmitate (C16:0) and Me nonadecanoate (C19:0) contribute to almost 70% of Chlorococcum infusionum (EAU-10) fatty acid Me esters (FAME) profile. Overall, a total of 74.58% of saturated fatty acid (SAFA) Me ester content is present in the algal lipid, which is exceedingly high in contrast to other similar studies. Anal. of C. infusionum FAME profile in relation to some important fuel properties showed that the algal oil has the potential to produce biodiesel with excellent fuel qualities. Organic chem. pollutants in atm. particulate matter (PM) have a potential toxicity hazard resulting in human responses that vary from no discernible effect to premature death. The formation and sources of PM also affect air quality of metropolitan areas as well as climate change. The new developments and industrial activities in the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia, are expected to contribute to the natural, regional, and anthropogenic input sources of organic matter (OM). Here we report the occurrence, concentrations and sources of organic tracers, including n-alkanes, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), plasticizers, and petroleum biomarkers, in ambient atm. PM from the city of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The major compounds were unresolved complex mixtures (UCM) of branched and cyclic hydrocarbons (489 ± 296 ng m-3), plasticizers (131 ± 119 ng m-3 for Ph phosphates, 87 ± 42 ng m-3 for phthalates), n-alkanes (73 ± 53 ng m-3), hopane biomarkers (11 ± 8 ng m-3), n-alkanones (6.7 ± 6.3 ng m-3), PAHs (2.0 ± 2.1 ng m-3), n-alkanols (1.2 ± 1.2 ng m-3), sterane biomarkers (0.4 ± 0.3 ng m-3), and sterols (0.5 ± 0.4 ng m-3). Obviously, UCM and plasticizers were the major components (56 ± 9% and 26 ± 10% of the total extracts, resp.) in the PM of Dhahran, which might have adverse public health effects. The major sources of this OM are emissions from industrial factories north of the city, plastics and biomass burning, and petroleum product combustion (traffic/refining). Biodiesel is a proven alternative fuel that can serve as a substitute for petroleum diesel due to its renewability, non-toxicity, sulfur-free nature and superior lubricity. Waste-based non-edible oils are studied as potential biodiesel feedstocks owing to the focus on the valorisation of waste products. Instead of being treated as municipal waste, waste coffee grounds (WCG) can be utilized for oil extraction, thereby recovering an energy source in the form of biodiesel. This study evaluates oil extraction from WCG using ultrasonic and Soxhlet techniques, followed by biodiesel conversion using an ultrasonic-assisted transesterification process. It was found that n-hexane was the most effective solvent for the oil extraction process and ultrasonic-assisted technol. offers a 13.5% higher yield compared to the conventional Soxhlet extraction process. Solid-to-solvent ratio and extraction time of the oil extraction process from the dried waste coffee grounds (DWCG) after the brewing process was optimized using the response surface methodol. (RSM). The results showed that predicted yield of 17.75 weight % of coffee oil can be obtained using 1:30 w/v of the mass ratio of DWCG-ton-hexane and 34 min of extraction time when 32% amplitude was used. The model was verified by the experiment where 17.23 weight % yield of coffee oil was achieved when the extraction process was carried out under optimal conditions. Chemical composition, phenolic content and antioxidant capacity of Haloxylon scoparium extracts was written by Haida, S.;Kribii, A.. And the article was included in South African Journal of Botany in 2020.SDS of cas: 1731-94-8 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

This work is part of the valorization of the Haloxylon scoparium plant, belonging to the Chenopodiaceae family and native to southeastern of Morocco. The aim of the present work is to study the chem. composition of this plant, to estimate the phenolic compounds contents of its extracts and to evaluate their antioxidant powers. After extraction by maceration of the aerial and root part of Haloxylon scoparium, the extracts obtained are fractionated by liquid-liquid extraction using solvents of different polarities. The best extraction yield is obtained in the aerial part 23.54% against 10.99% for the root part. The anal. carried out by the coupling of gas chromatog. with mass spectrometry (GC-MS) shows that the root part contains mainly carbohydrates, however the aerial part consists mainly of alkaloids. The total polyphenol content obtained in the root part 69.86 mg/gEAG (mg/g of gallic acid) is significantly higher than that in the aerial part 56.79 mg/g EAG. The hydrolysable tannins are the predominant polyphenols of the root part of Haloxylon scoparium corresponding to 83.87 mg/g EAT (mg/g of tannic acid). The antioxidant activity of the various extracts obtained is evaluated by two methods: the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl) free radical scavenging test and the ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP). The examination of the inhibitory concentration values shows that the butanolic extract of the root part is the most active with values of IC50 = 0.06 mg/mL and IC0.5 = 0.19 mg/mL resp. for the DPPH and FRAP tests. In order to evaluate reservoir adaptability of the ASP (alkali/surfactant/polymer) system, its field tests have been carried out in Saertu, Xingshugang and Lamadian Oilfield of Daqing. The results show that crude oil compositions have a great effect on the agent concentration in produced liquid and oil recovery increment. Therefore, this paper researches crude oil composition of three oilfields in Daqing, and the interaction between oil and ASP system. The effect of crude oil compositions on the oil recovery increment and the properties of produced liquid are also further studied. Results show that, the active components of crude oil from three oilfields have the peak feature of typical saturated monocarboxylic acids (fatty acid and naphthenic acid). And there are larger types of organic acids in Lamadian oil active components, from nonane acid to nonacosane acid. In addition, the content of n-alkanes with high carbon component in Lamadian raffinate is larger, and its composition is closer to that of heavy alkylbenzene sulfonate. After the interaction between various crude oil and ASP system, the partition coefficients of surfactant and alkali in Lamadian oil is higher. Besides that, the interfacial tension between ASP system and active components or raffinate are both higher. However, there is ultra-low interfacial tension between ASP system and crude oil. This indicates that synergistic effect exists among the colloid and asphaltene in crude oil and surfactant component, which jointly promotes the substantial decrease in interfacial tension. Furthermore, the field tests have proved the results of laboratory phys. simulation experiments This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as Methyl nonadecanoate (cas: 1731-94-8SDS of cas: 1731-94-8).

The chem. properties of alk. extract and DOM in soil samples during incubation were analyzed by tetramethylammonium hydroxide thermochemolysis-gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry (TMAH-GC/MS) and fluorescence anal. The cumulative CO2 emission from peat under dwarf bamboo was higher than that of peat under marsh vegetation. During incubation at 35°C, plant and microbial residues in DOM extracted from dwarf bamboo soil were increased significantly at the early stages of culture. On the other hand, the components of DOM in the marsh vegetation soil sample did not significantly change between incubation at each temperature The fluorescence spectra showed that protein-like fluorescent DOM contained in dwarf bamboo soil is consumed by microorganisms, which promotes leaching of humic-like fluorescent DOM and carbon mineralization during the incubation period at a higher temperature Compared with marsh vegetation soil, the DOM in dwarf bamboo soil is susceptible to temperature rises and can be a larger source of CO2 emissions. This study shows that evaluation of DOM properties in soil could be useful to assess the effect of climate change on soil environment. This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as Methyl nonadecanoate (cas: 1731-94-8SDS of cas: 1731-94-8).

Methyl nonadecanoate (cas: 1731-94-8) belongs to esters. Volatile esters with characteristic odours are used in synthetic flavours, perfumes, and cosmetics. Certain volatile esters are used as solvents for lacquers, paints, and varnishes. Because of their lack of hydrogen-bond-donating ability, esters do not self-associate. Consequently, esters are more volatile than carboxylic acids of similar molecular weight.SDS of cas: 1731-94-8
