Aryl, alkyl, and alkenyl mono- and dicarboxylates and lactones underwent chemoselective reduction to alcs. and diols; ketoesters underwent reduction to diols. Poly(1,6-hexanediol adipate) underwent hydrosilylation to 1,6-hexanediol.
