Seitzinger, Claire L.;Hall, Cecilia C.;Lodge, Timothy P. research published 《 Photoreversible Order-Disorder Transitions in Block Copolymer/Ionic Liquid Solutions》, the research content is summarized as follows. External stimuli are of interest in controlling the nanoscale morphol. in self-assembling polymer materials. While temperature is commonly used to control the state of microphase separation in block polymer solutions, light is a highly tunable, contactless method that can be spatially selective. Here, we use UV irradiation to induce order-disorder transitions (ODTs) in concentrated solutions of four poly(Me methacrylate)-b-poly(benzyl methacrylate-s-4-phenylazophenyl methacrylate) block copolymers in three imidazolium-based ionic liquids Due to a significant change in polarity in the phenylazophenyl methacrylate monomer upon UV irradiation, a bistable temperature window exists between the ODT in the dark and under UV irradiation, allowing for light-triggered ODTs. UV-irradiated small-amplitude oscillatory shear rheol. is used to locate the bistable window and then to trigger ODTs reversibly with light. The ordered states formed in the dark are determined by small-angle X-ray scattering. Three tunable factors are explored within the system: the relative lengths of the copolymer blocks, the selectivity of the solvent, and the content of the photoactive monomer. The block composition was found to mainly influence the ordered state formed by the system after microphase separation The selectivity of the solvent is the most promising method for tuning the ODT temperature, and the amount of photoactive monomer controls the width of the bistable window.

Scarpi, Dina;Bagni, Francesco;Faggi, Cristina;Carral-Menoyo, Asier;Gomez-Bengoa, Enrique;Occhiato, Ernesto G. research published 《 Gold(I)-Catalyzed Cycloisomerization/Hetero-Diels-Alder Reaction/Ring Opening Cascade to Functionalized Cyclopentadienes》, the research content is summarized as follows. Six- and seven-membered ring-fused, functionalized cyclopentadienes can be obtained in moderate to excellent yields by a cascade process entailing the Au(I)-catalyzed propargyl Claisen rearrangement/Nazarov cyclization of propargyl vinyl ethers, the hetero-Diels-Alder reaction with dialkylazodicarboxylates, and the spontaneous conversion of cycloaddition products into cyclopentadienes by a highly regioselective cleavage of a C-N bond. Depending on the treatment of the crude reaction mixtures, two types of products can be obtained: cyclopentadienes with pendant hydrazine and aldehyde moieties that intramolecularly react to form hemiaminals are obtained in 43-52% overall yields when the crude reaction mixtures are left over K2CO3 in a DCM solution Instead, by reducing in situ the aldehyde group just after addition of the heterodienophile, the regioselective C-N bond cleavage generates the corresponding cyclopentadienes bearing a hydrazine and an alc. appendage in excellent yields (66-82%) over four steps, all in one pot. Two examples from the latter class of compounds were also converted into ring-fused, functionalized cyclopentadienes, bearing a protected amino group, by the selective N-N cleavage of the hydrazine moiety.

In this context, heterocyclic systems, such as quinoline, which is present as a pharmacophore in the structure of the TKI inhibitor bosutinib (BST), was widely applied. Thus, this work aimed to obtain new hybrids of imatinib containing quinoline moieties I [R = CN, CO(O)Et; R1 = H, Cl; R2 = H, Me, MeO, CF3; R3 = H, Cl; X = Y = C, N] and evaluate them against K562 cells. The compounds were synthesized with a high purity degree. Among the produced mols., the inhibitor I [R = R1 = R2= R3 = H, X = N, Y = C] showed a suitable reduction in cell viability, with a CC50 value of 0.9μM (IMT, CC50 = 0.08μM). Mol. docking results suggest that the interaction between the most active inhibitor I [R = R1 = R2= R3 = H, X = N, Y = C] and the BCR-ABL1 enzyme occurs at the bosutinib binding site through a competitive inhibition mechanism. Despite being less potent and selective than IMT, I [R = R1 = R2= R3 = H, X = N, Y = C] is a suitable prototype for use in the search for new drugs against chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), especially in patients with acquired resistance to IMT.

Methyl 2-furoate is soluble (in water) and an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Within the cell, methyl 2-furoate is primarily located in the cytoplasm. Methyl 2-furoate is a sweet, fruity, and fungal tasting compound that can be found in a number of food items such as cocoa and cocoa products, potato, tamarind, and fruits. This makes methyl 2-furoate a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products.
Methyl 2-furoate is a reactive compound that belongs to the family of sesquiterpene lactones. It has been shown to have phosphotungstic acid and hydrochloric acid reactivity, as well as nitrous and water vapor sensitivity. Methyl 2-furoate also reacts with radiation, which can be used for structural analysis. The compound is an intermediate in the synthesis of pluronic p123, which is used in fabricating biomedical devices. Methyl 2-furoate has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties through its inhibitory effect on prostaglandin synthesis., 611-13-2.

Ester is a chemical compound derived from an oxoacid (organic or inorganic) in which at least one –OH hydroxyl group is replaced by an –O– alkyl (alkoxy) group, 611-13-2, formula is C6H6O3, Name is Methyl furan-2-carboxylate. as in the substitution reaction of a carboxylic acid and an alcohol. Sadhu, Milon M.;Ray, Sumit K.;Unhale, Rajshekhar A.;Singh, Vinod K. research published 《 Bronsted acid-catalyzed enantioselective addition of 1,3-diones to in situ generated N-acyl ketimines》, the research content is summarized as follows. A Bronsted acid-catalyzed asym. Mannich-type addition of 1,3-diones to cyclic N-acyl ketimines is reported for the synthesis of enantioenriched isoindolinones. Various dicarbonyl-substituted isoindolinones bearing a quaternary carbon stereocenter were synthesized with excellent yields (up to 98%) and moderate to high enantioselectivities (up to 95% ee), and most of them possess a fluorine atom at the reactive center. Furthermore, the synthetic utility of the protocol has been demonstrated by the debenzoylation of the product.
