87-13-8, Diethyl ethoxymethylenemalonate is a useful research compound. Its molecular formula is C10H16O5 and its molecular weight is 216.23 g/mol. The purity is usually 95%.

Diethyl ethoxymethylidenemalonate is a matrix effect reagent used in analytical chemistry. It is often used as a substrate for the cycloaddition process, which produces malondialdehyde and hydrochloric acid. The UV-absorption of the malondialdehyde can be measured to determine the concentration of the sample. Diethyl ethoxymethylidenemalonate is also used as a dna template in binding constants, where it binds with amines to form complexes that are then analyzed by light emission. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on gyrase and trifluoroacetic acid, both enzymes involved in DNA replication., Recommanded Product: Diethyl 2-(ethoxymethylene)malonate

Esters typically have a pleasant smell; those of low molecular weight are commonly used as fragrances and are found in essential oils and pheromones. 87-13-8, formula is C10H16O5, Name is Diethyl 2-(ethoxymethylene)malonate. They perform as high-grade solvents for a broad array of plastics, plasticizers, resins, and lacquers, and are one of the largest classes of synthetic lubricants on the commercial market. Recommanded Product: Diethyl 2-(ethoxymethylene)malonate.

Machado Fernandes, Caio;Faro, Leticia V.;Pina, Vitoria G. S. S.;de Souza, Maria Cecilia B. V.;Boechat, Fernanda C. S.;de Souza, Marcos Costa;Briganti, Matteo;Totti, Federico;Ponzio, Eduardo A. research published 《 Study of three new halogenated oxoquinolinecarbohydrazide N-phosphonate derivatives as corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in acid environment》, the research content is summarized as follows. Three new and original halogenated oxoquinolinecarbohydrazide N-phosphonate derivatives (DHOP-F, DHOP-Cl and DHOP-Br) were prepared from the corresponding 4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylates (81, 71 and 65% yields, resp.), characterized by IR, 1H, 13C and 31P NMR spectroscopy and HRMS and evaluated as corrosion inhibitors for mild steel AISI 1020 in hydrochloric acid media. Electrochem. Impedance Spectroscopy, Linear Polarization Resistance and Weight Loss Study revealed an anticorrosive efficiency of 93.0, 84.2 and 66.8%, resp., for DHOP-Br, DHOP-Cl and DHOP-F, at a very low concentration (0.48 mmol L-1). Phys. chem. calculations showed that the adsorption process is spontaneous, and all mols. obey the Langmuir theory. Data crossing between electrochem. and gravimetric measurements reveals a protection mechanism of adsorption by organic monolayer formation on the metal surface. Polarization curves proves that the organic mols. are all mixed-type corrosion inhibitors and Atomic Force Microscopy images suggest the formation of a protective layer on the metal surface. Ab initio calculations are in great agreement with the exptl. results and, therefore, used to rationalize the reason why the bromide derivative is the best inhibitor.
