The measured retention indexes and IR spectral data of C=O and NO2 groups were correlated with mol. structure of analytes. The regularities in GC retention as well as in the FTIR data of isomeric aromatic nitro compounds were formulated. The obtained results can be useful for GC-FTIR identification of ring positional isomers of nitration products of other Me arylacetates.
