Example 2; N-[(2E)-1-(Chlorofluoromethyl)-3-(dimethylamino)-2-(ethoxycarbonyl)-prop-2-en-1-ylidene]-N-methyl-methanaminium tetrafluoroborate; 17.6 g (0.1 mmol) of N-1,1,2-trifluoro-2-chloroethyldimethylamine were initially charged in 100 ml of dichloromethane under argon and admixed at RT with 13.6 g (0.1 mol) of boron trifluoride-diethyl ether complex.
