The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the residue purified by column chromatography on silica gel, eluting with [DICHLOROMETHANE] : methanol : ammonia (95: 5: 0.5) to give the title compound (300mg, 65%) as a colourless oil. ‘H-NMR [(400MHZ,] [CDC13)] [A] = 1.42-1. 45 (s, 9H), 3.03-3. 07 (t, 2H), 3.59 (s, 2H), 4.08- 4.12 (t, [2H),] 6.83-6. 88 (d, [1H),] 7.14-7. 18 (m, [1H),] 7.34-7. 37 (m, [1H).]
