The precipitate formed was collected by filtration and dried under vacuum to deliver the desired intermediate, 2-( 1 -(2,3 -difluorobenzyl)-5-(difluoromethoxy)- 1 H-pyrazol-3 -yl)-5 -fluoropyrimidine-4,6-diol (475 mg, 44 % yield) as a cream colored solid.?H NMR (500 MHz, DMSO-d6) ppm 7.19 – 7.57 (m, 3 H), 7.11 – 7.16 (m, 1 H), 6.71 (s, 1 H), 5.41 (s, 2H).
